Selim tells the story of a young boy from Dhaka. It is based on the real life events of one of our students and paints a clear picture of what life is like for a child growing up in the slums. The story was written by CAFFE co-founder Luke Doyle and illustrated by Somir Uddin, a young Bangladeshi artist who also teaches graphic design at CAFFE.
Selim is sold in Folk Interntaional in Dhaka as well as through the CAFFE charity shop in Bedford, UK. The book is especially popular in schools and is often used as a discussion point by teachers. The price is just £4. To order a copy, contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
